Senator Christopher “Bong” Go continues to dominate the senatorial race for the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections, securing the top spot in the latest nationwide survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
Commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy, the 11–15 April survey polled 1,800 registered voters and revealed that Go garnered 45 percent of voter preference — an increase of three percentage points from the previous month — solidifying his position as the frontrunner. He is closely followed by ACT-CIS Representative Erwin Tulfo, who maintained his second-place ranking with 43 percent.
Senator Lito Lapid (34 percent) placed third, while former Senate President Tito Sotto and Senator Pia Cayetano tied in fourth to fifth place with 33 percent each. Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa followed in sixth with 32 percent, and both Senator Bong Revilla and broadcaster Ben Tulfo shared the seventh to eighth spots with 31 percent each. Notably, Ben Tulfo dropped slightly in the rankings after a three-point decline.
Makati Mayor Abby Binay (29 percent) and Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar (28 percent) improved their standings to ninth and tenth place, respectively. Former Senator Ping Lacson dropped to eleventh place with 26 percent, while former Senator Manny Pacquiao held the twelfth spot with 25 percent.
Just outside the winner’s circle are TV host Willie Revillame and Senator Imee Marcos, tied for 13th–14th with 24 percent each. They were followed by former Senators Bam Aquino and Kiko Pangilinan in 15th–16th place (21 percent), actor Phillip Salvador and DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos in 17th–18th (18 percent), and former Senator Gringo Honasan and lawmaker Rodante Marcoleta in 19th–20th (13 percent). The rest of the pack includes Senator Francis Tolentino (12 percent) and retired police officer Col. Bosita (11 percent).
The survey used the Commission on Elections’ (COMELEC) revised ballot face template listing 66 senatorial aspirants. With a ±2.31 percent margin of error, the results highlight strong public backing for administration-aligned candidates, nine of whom currently occupy projected spots in the Magic 12.
