Julia Montes is stirring up a different kind of magic in the kitchen. The talented actress recently shared the heartwarming story behind her latest venture, a burgeoning food business aptly named "Take Out."

In a candid video uploaded by Coco Martin's CCM Film Productions on YouTube, Julia revealed that her love affair with cooking began in her younger years.

"I think people know that we really love to eat, especially me. Ever since I learned how to cook, it became my love language to my family. So, we thought, why not share what I cook or what I do with other people?" she explained with genuine enthusiasm.

The driving force behind Take Out, Julia relayed, is the desire to provide delicious and convenient food options for busy individuals.

"That's why Take Out was also born because sometimes with work, late nights on set, when you get home, you don't have time to prepare anymore. It's really hard to prepare a meal or a recipe for your family when you just came from work," she empathized.

Julia proudly described the concept of Take Out as offering "restaurant-quality food at the comfort of your own home."

Highlighting the Filipino culture of togetherness around the dining table, she added, "We Filipinos are known for gathering at the dining table, so that's really my goal with Take Out — to reach people."

The journey of Take Out began in mid-2024, nurtured and built alongside her mentor, Chef Allan Mertola, affectionately known as Chef A.

"It just started with his visit," Julia recounted. "We talked, and I said I wanted to try venturing into the food business. How do I do it? From conversations to R&D (research and development), we practiced recipes that we would make if we were to start a business, and eventually, it just progressed, and now it's 2025, and we have Take Out."

Interestingly, Julia shared that the dream of establishing a food-related business has long been a cherished aspiration within her family, particularly for her grandmother.

"Actually, it's a family thing because our constant topic was what if we started a business, especially my grandmother. Lola Tindeng is known for her love of cooking, so it's a dream of the whole family to have a business connected to food, and then we talked about 'what if'," she relayed warmly.

With Take Out, they strategically decided to start with a commissary, catering to food orders, before venturing into the restaurant scene.

"Of course, we're also scared to start a big restaurant right away, so we started with a commissary first, and then we'll cater to food carts, events, and food delivery. So, one step at a time, baby steps first," she stated with a practical outlook.

Through Take Out, Julia Montes isn't just serving food; she's sharing a piece of her heart and a long-held family dream — one delicious meal at a time.
