The Department of Transportation (DoTr) has issued a warning to the public about individuals posing as Transportation Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon or his staff in an attempt to carry out fraudulent transactions via private messages and social media.

In an advisory released over the weekend, the agency cautioned citizens to remain vigilant against online scams, emphasizing that all official government transactions are conducted strictly through recognized and authorized channels.

“Secretary Dizon and all DoTr officials and personnel will never engage in any official transaction outside the agency’s legitimate platforms,” the department stated.

The DoTr urged the public to report any suspicious messages or impersonation attempts immediately through its commuter hotline at 09209643687.

Secretary Dizon, who succeeded former Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, was sworn into office by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in February.

Since his appointment, Dizon has been at the forefront of efforts to improve transportation systems and enhance commuter safety nationwide.

As the department pushes forward with key infrastructure reforms and high-impact initiatives, it stressed that protecting the public from fraud remains a core priority.

The DoTr reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and good governance, encouraging the public to verify communications and transact only through official channels.
