Fresh from hosting the much-anticipated Booze and Wine Festival by Ayala Land, Vertis North once again proves why it’s not just a lifestyle destination — but a symbol of smart, sustainable urban development in Quezon City. The vibrant event drew in crowds for a weekend of wine, craft drinks, music and community spirit, all set against the backdrop of a dynamic mixed-use estate that continues to lead in green innovation.

Nestled in the North Triangle of Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Vertis North is a 29-hectare development by Ayala Land in partnership with the National Housing Authority (NHA). Designed as the new central business and lifestyle district of Quezon City, the estate goes beyond providing spaces to live, work and play — it offers something cities increasingly need: Sustainable solutions to urban challenges.

A standout feature of the estate is the Vertis North Garden, a sprawling two-hectare green space that transforms with the seasons. On sunny days, it’s a serene park for leisure, relaxation and events like the Booze and Wine Festival. But when heavy rains arrive, the garden plays a vital role in the estate’s stormwater management system — serving as a temporary catchment basin that helps prevent flooding in the area and nearby communities.

This dual-purpose design reflects the smart planning behind Vertis North. As a modern mixed-use development, it seamlessly blends residential, commercial, office, hotel and retail spaces — anchored by a commitment to environmental sustainability. With its strategic location along major roads like EDSA, North Avenue, and Quezon Avenue, and close proximity to public transport, Vertis North makes city living convenient, efficient and eco-conscious.

More than 60 percent of the estate is dedicated to commercial and office use, while thoughtfully designed public spaces, green strips and rain gardens are spread throughout the property. These features help cool the environment, absorb runoff, and reduce water consumption, making the entire estate more resilient to climate change.

Residential developments such as Avida Towers Vita, Sola and Alveo Land’s High Park offer comfortable living surrounded by nature, complete with sky gardens, green rooftops and wide pedestrian paths. The Seda Vertis North hotel and Ayala Malls Vertis North further enrich the community with leisure, retail, and dining options — all within walking distance.

Perhaps most notably, the estate’s integrated water management system — including infiltration strips, permeable surfaces and underground parking that frees up street space for greenery — demonstrates how sustainable urban design can work in practice, not just theory.

In hosting events like the Booze and Wine Festival and providing a lush green space in the heart of the city, Vertis North is redefining what it means to live and thrive in Metro Manila. It offers more than just convenience — it delivers a lifestyle that respects both people and the planet, making it a true model for future-ready cities.
