The Medical City Enterprise received multiple major awards at the Healthcare Asia Awards 2025, highlighting the Philippine healthcare network’s commitment to excellence and patient care.
In a statement released Friday, The Medical City announced it garnered five major accolades, including its flagship The Medical City Ortigas being named Hospital of the Year — Philippines for the fourth consecutive year.
The Hospital of the Year award recognizes institutions that consistently elevate standards in medical excellence, patient experience, and systems innovation. In 2024, TMC Ortigas secured its seventh consecutive Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation and is home to the first and only JCI-certified Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) Program in the Philippines.
TMC Ortigas also received the Public-Private Partnership of the Year award for its government collaborations.
Meantime, The Medical City Iloilo was named Secondary Hospital of the Year for 2025, recognized for its leadership in Western Visayas as a Tier 2 Acute Stroke-Ready Hospital and its partnership in government health programs and also received honors for infection prevention and workforce resilience.
The Medical City Clinics, with over 70 locations nationwide, was named Primary Care Provider of the Year for the third consecutive year. In 2024, TMC Clinics expanded its network, onboarded physicians, implemented digital transformation, and launched a corporate clinic partnership model.
The Medical City Clark, on the other hand, earned its first-ever Patient Safety Program of the Year award for its “Safety Starts With Me” campaign, a network-wide initiative focused on compassion and infection control. In 2024, TMC Clark also secured its first JCI accreditation.
In a significant milestone, The Medical City was awarded a 4-star rating under the Global Hospital Rating developed by Newsweek and Statista. TMC is the only Philippine hospital comprehensively ranked under this global system, which evaluates institutions across five dimensions, placing it alongside globally respected institutions.
Dr. Stuart Bennett, president and CEO of The Medical City, said the awards affirm the institution’s belief that the Philippines can stand alongside the best in global healthcare.
“We never set out to win awards — we set out to earn trust. To serve with integrity, lead with heart, and deliver world-class care that never forgets its roots,” Bennett said.
