Galerie Stephanie proudly presents three solo exhibitions that explore the themes of movement, perception and balance in contemporary art.
Featuring the works of Filipino artists Nicole Bitas, Michael Orlina and Jomike Tejido, these exhibitions offer distinct yet interconnected reflections on life’s fleeting moments, shifting perspectives, and the search for harmony.
Nicole Bitas’ Moving Still captures the beauty in life’s subtle pauses.
Through intimate portrayals of body language and everyday gestures, Bitas transforms ordinary moments into profound meditations on memory and movement.
Her works highlight the unspoken connections between people, objects and space, inviting viewers to reflect on the quiet, often unnoticed moments that shape our lives.
In Shifting Reality, Michael Orlina pushes the boundaries of glass as an artistic medium.
This marks his first solo exhibition, where he uses meticulous coldworking techniques to create dynamic pieces that engage with pop culture influences and explore the mutability of glass.
Through reflective surfaces and complex forms, Orlina’s works challenge perception, blending reality with illusion and encouraging the audience to reconsider how they see the world around them.
Jomike Tejido’s The Theory of Balance explores balance not as a fixed state, but as an evolving and fluid concept.
Moving away from his usual vibrant hues, Tejido embraces earthy tones in his kinetic sculptures made from resin, brass and metal.
His interactive pieces respond to touch and movement, embodying the delicate dance between control and surrender.
Tejido’s work emphasizes the impermanence and adaptability of balance in both physical and emotional realms.
Together, these exhibitions invite audiences to engage with the forces that shape our experiences and encourage introspection on the ever-changing nature of movement, perception and harmony.
