Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro has allayed concerns regarding the health of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. after netizens noticed that his gums seemed to bleed during a Day of Valor event on Wednesday.
Marcos attended the event at Mount Samat National Shrine in Pilar, Bataan, to commemorate the heroism displayed by troops during the Battle of Bataan. Afterward, he visited Camp Aguinaldo, where he met with families of fallen soldiers, distributed government assistance, and awarded certificates from the National Housing Authority.
Castro said there is no cause for concern regarding the President’s health, as she met with him Thursday morning.
“Nothing to worry po.. Kaka meeting lang po namin kaninang umaga.. Wala naman po akong nakikitang hindi maayos ang kalusugan niya (We had a meeting with him this morning… I did not see anything wrong with his health),” she said.
Marcos also met with food-based entrepreneurs on Wednesday afternoon, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and son Vincent.
The First Family enjoyed a variety of Filipino offerings, from native products to local delicacies, at a shopping mall in Mandaluyong City.
