Philippine Airlines (PAL) will begin nonstop flights between Manila and Da Nang in July, offering travelers a direct gateway to Central Vietnam.
The flag carrier said Monday that the service will operate three times a week, with daytime flights designed to maximize time for both business and leisure travelers.
The new route, deploying Airbus A321 aircraft, will give passengers a choice of Business and Economy Class.
The direct flight to Da Nang is PAL’s third major expansion in Vietnam this year, following the upgrade of its Manila-Hanoi route to daily flights and the upcoming launch of Cebu-Ho Chi Minh City flights on May 2.
“We at Philippine Airlines are excited to strengthen our close relationship with the Vietnamese people with the introduction of direct Manila-Da Nang flights,” PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley K. Ng said.
“PAL is committed to offering greater connectivity and promoting tourism and commerce between our capital city and the central Vietnamese heartland. We look forward to welcoming more leisure and business travelers onboard our flights to Da Nang.”
The Manila-Da Nang flights will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 11:10 AM, arriving in Da Nang at 12:45 PM. Return flights from Da Nang will leave at 1:35 PM, arriving in Manila at 5:10 PM.
Da Nang offers a blend of rich history, scenic beaches, and proximity to UNESCO World Heritage sites, making it an attractive destination.
The city is well-known for landmarks like the Marble Mountains, the Golden Bridge, and is an ideal base for exploring Hoi An, My Son, and Hue.
