A Swedish child molester was arrested by elements of the National Bureau of Investigation under the order of Director Jaime Santiago after receiving red notice.
The arrest was also in pursuant to the mission order No.2025-076, the NBI — Violence Against Women and Children Division (NBI-VAWCD) together with the Bureau of Immigration — Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) on 2 April, successfully arrested a Swedish National, Heinz Henry Andreas Berglund in Angeles City, Pampanga.
The case stemmed from the information received from the Swedish Police Authority (SPA) through the Homeland Security Investigations regarding an alleged Swedish child-sexual offender.
Berglund is the subject of SPA investigation for 2 counts of “Rape of a Child” and was previously suspected of the rape of 10-year-old child in Sweden in 2021. Subject also has previous convictions for serious financial fraud in 2009 and 2003.
