BAGAC, Bataan — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed projects that will help alleviate the flooding, prevent landslides, and can be used as an evacuation sites in Central Luzon (CL).
According to the DPWH, the agency has built a 2,339.73-square-meter concrete slope protection along the Bagac-Mariveles Road (BMR) in Bataan, improving safety and stability on this vital tertiary route that serves as a shorter path from Bagac to Mariveles.
Implemented at a cost of P48.25 million through the 2023 national budget, the project reinforces a zigzag section of the 44-kilometer BMR in Barangay Malaya, Mariveles, addressing risks from landslides, soil erosion and slope collapse.
