Costa Cashman doesn’t need a long introduction. He showed up at our exclusive interview with just one powerful statement, “I make music.” And that’s all it took.
From O $IDE MAFIA’s “GET LOW” shaking up the streets to his solo takeover with “TALK SH*T,” Cashman is proving he’s more than just a group act.
Now, as one of Spotify’s RADAR 2025 artists, he’s cementing himself as a name to watch.
Going solo usually means breaking away, but for Cashman, it was never about leaving; it’s about moving up.
“I thought it would be hard, but it turned out to be safe,” he said, shutting down rumors of a split from O $IDE MAFIA, the hip-hop trio he built alongside Gee Exclsv and Madman Stan.
“I just made sure that I didn’t leave. I just needed to do a solo so I could save our friends.”
If there’s one thing Cashman isn’t here for, it’s people’s approval.
“When I make music, I do what I like. Even if you don’t like it, I still release it. It’s for me, not for others,” he told DAILY TRIBUNE.
That intensity seeps into his latest single, “TALK SH*T.” When he debuted the Dot.Jaime-directed music video, the visuals, rawness and signature swagger all strike differently. A soundtrack straight from the streets where he was raised.
What about in real life? That is the true tension. “The biggest challenge isn’t the industry. It’s my real life. Because my real life is so real, that’s why it’s so hard.”
Creativity? For Cashman, it’s chaos in motion.
“I don’t sit down and plan a track. It just happens. Like right now, in the middle of this interview, I might think of something. If it’s trash, it’s trash. If it’s on fire, we drop it.”
That unpredictability is his edge — it’s why his music hits differently. There’s no overthinking, no second-guessing. It’s real, raw and straight from the gut.
Now that he’s running solo, there’s no waiting, no approvals and no debates.
“Before, I needed approval from both of them,” he said of working in a group. “Now, if I like it, I like it. If it’s ugly, it’s ugly. It’s faster. It’s easier.”
And that speed? It’s pushing him forward at full throttle.
Don’t overthink Cashman’s songs. Simply feel it.
“When I listen to a song, I don’t base it on the lyrics — I base it on the vibe. That’s what I do with my music. It’s all about the vibe.”
And that is precisely what makes Cashman worth watching. He’s not here to impress but to express.
