In an effort to modernize its fleet and strengthen its operations, Cebu Pacific (CEB) received its first delivery aircraft of the year, an A330neo.
According to CEB, the 459-seater aircraft, the first of four A330neos anticipated to join CEB's fleet this year, touched down at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila on March 28. For this year, CEB anticipates receiving a total of seven aircraft.
"We are thrilled to welcome our first aircraft delivery for 2025. The arrival of our latest A330neo strengthens our operational resilience, allowing us to serve more passengers while continuing to offer affordable and sustainable air travel. We look forward to bringing dream destinations closer to every Juan with this addition to our fleet," CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer Xander Lao stated.
With the use of the A330neo, CEB can now service long-haul and regional routes as well as industries with significant demand. The aircraft's greater capacity and range allow the airline to maximize operations while keeping costs down.
Airbus NEOs are the newest generation of aircraft, which emit less noise and use 15% less fuel each trip than their predecessors. As a result of the decrease in fuel usage, airplane carbon emissions also decrease.
With a diverse commercial fleet mix consisting of 11 Airbus 330s, 39 Airbus 320s, 26 Airbus 321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft, CEB is one of the youngest fleets in the world and provides the Philippines with the most extensive network coverage.
