Jeepney drivers ply routes amid wider transport strike
Some public utility jeepneys continue to operate along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City on Monday, 24 March 2025, during the first day of the three-day nationwide transport strike led by transport group Manibela.
Manibela is protesting what it claims are inaccurate figures related to the implementation of the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program.
Meanwhile, Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon said the agency will boost public transport services, including extending MRT and LRT operations to assist affected commuters.John Carlo Magallon
