
Two individuals were wounded in a riding-in-tandem shooting incident early Friday morning at the corner of Tagumpay Street and Esmeralda Street in Tondo, Manila.
The primary target, identified as Rosalinda Sayo, alias Indang, 44, of 1169 Kagitingan Street corner Carnacion Street, Barangay 38, Tondo, Manila, sustained a gunshot wound to the body. She is currently undergoing treatment at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC).
Another victim, Ace Bernard Espinosa, 20, of 1215 Tagumpay Street, Barangay 39, Zone 3, District 1, Tondo, was hit by a stray bullet while walking in the area. He was rushed to Mary Johnston Hospital.
According to the Manila Police District - Police Station 2, the incident occurred at around 1:45 AM.
Sayo was reportedly standing at the corner when the gunman — described as wearing a blue long-sleeve shirt and a white helmet — arrived and fired at her.
Espinosa was coincidentally walking nearby when the shooting occurred and was struck by a stray bullet.
After the attack, the gunman casually walked away and boarded a violet-colored motorcycle driven by his companion, who was wearing a black jacket and a baseball cap.
Police are continuing their investigation to identify the suspects and determine the motive behind the shooting.
