LAOAG CITY – A security guard at Laoag International Airport is being recognized for her honesty after returning a lost handbag containing approximately ₱146,000 in cash and other personal items.
Rhea Taysa, an employee of Ultra Security Services assigned to the airport, found the handbag left behind by an elderly American passenger bound for Hawaii earlier today, 19 March. Without hesitation, Taysa turned over the bag to airport authorities, ensuring that it was safely returned to its owner.
CAAP Laoag Manager Ronald Estabillo praised Taysa for her integrity and professionalism. “We are proud of her actions and commend her for setting a great example. A ceremony will be held to formally recognize her honesty and dedication,” Estabillo said.
