Fifth year feast for a Filipino brand

Seda Central Bloc Cebu recently celebrated its fifth anniversary with a delectable seven-course sit-down dinner at the Sinamay Function Hall. Themed “Sidlak, Five Years of Brilliance and Beyond,” the evening paid tribute to the resilience, excellence and dedication of the team that built and nurtured the hotel since its opening in 2020.

The evening’s tone was set by the captivating melodies of a quartet, followed by a graceful waltz performance by the pre-opening team and department heads that symbolized the journey of perseverance and triumph that had defined the past years.

In his welcome remarks, general manager Ron Manalang highlighted that the hotel is not merely a lodging, but a symbol of comfort, efficiency and genuine care. This reflects the resilience and dedication of its staff, who have consistently overcome numerous challenges.

This was followed by a video speech from George Aquino, president and CEO of AyalaLand and Hospitality, where he praised the team’s dedication to service and innovation, highlighting the genuine warmth and hospitality that is uniquely Filipino.

One of the highlights of the evening was the recognition of 12 pre-opening team who have been with the hotel since day one, embodying loyalty and dedication.

Staff members shared personal stories of growth and support, illustrating the family-like environment that has been nurtured within the team. This culture of malasakit has been instrumental in building loyalty among both employees and guests.

The anniversary celebration served as a reminder of their journey and provided an opportunity to welcome future possibilities while staying true to their core values.
