An exclusive VIP screening of the highly anticipated animated blockbuster Ne Zha 2 was hosted by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) at Fisher Mall’s VIP Premiere Theater in Quezon City. Led by FFCCCII president Dr. Cecilio Pedro, the event brought together distinguished guests to celebrate both the film’s success and the strengthening cultural ties between the Philippines and China.

Hailed as the world’s No. 1 box office animation and the 6th highest-grossing film of all time, Ne Zha 2 is a triumph not just for China but for all of Asia.

With its universal themes of courage, family, and overcoming adversity, the film deeply resonates with Filipino values. It stands as an inspiration for the Philippines and the entire region to embrace their own stories, amplify creativity, and prove that Asian narratives can captivate audiences worldwide.

"As we enjoy this cinematic masterpiece, let us reflect on how Ne Zha’s journey mirrors our own aspirations. Just as he rose above challenges through unity and resilience, so too can our nations achieve greatness by working together," said Pedro.

The special screening was a highlight of FFCCCII’s 50th anniversary celebrations of Philippines-China diplomatic relations, set for 9 June, underscoring the power of storytelling in fostering cross-cultural understanding and unity. As Ne Zha 2 continues its global rollout across Asia, Europe, and beyond, it stands as a testament to the rising influence of Asian creativity on the international stage.

FFCCCII notable attendees include vice presidents Jeffrey Ng and Frank Co, secretary general Dr. Fernando Gan, board member Wilson Lee Flores, and directors Eddy Cobankiat and Patrick Cua. Their presence reaffirmed FFCCCII’s commitment to strengthening cultural and business partnerships between the Philippines and China.
