Operatives from the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 2 arrested a 23-year-old drug suspect in a buy-bust operation conducted at midnight on Friday in Tondo, Manila. The suspect was identified as alias Jhay.

Police launched the operation after receiving a complaint from a concerned citizen regarding the rampant sale of shabu in the area. Jhay was nabbed along G. Araneta Street, Barangay 254, Tondo, Manila.

Police conducted surveillance after receiving the tip and, upon confirming the suspect’s activities, raided his residence, leading to his arrest and the confiscation of illegal drugs.

Seized from the suspect’s possession was one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 14 grams, with a street value of P95,200.

Bonayog will face charges for violating Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office.
