
The Taguig City police arrested a 61-year-old male suspect in an operation recently.
The suspect, identified as alias “Anthony,” was the subject of a search warrant issued by Hon. Gertrude G. Orquiola-Moldez, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 163, Taguig City.
The operation was conducted in Barangay East Rembo, Taguig City, at around 2:30 p.m.
Officers from Sub-Station 10 of the Taguig City police carried out the operation under the supervision of Police Colonel Joey T. Goforth, Chief of Police, with overall direction from Police Brigadier General Manuel J. Abrugena, District Director of the Southern Police District (SPD).
During the search, law enforcement officers seized nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), weighing a total of 31.6 grams with an estimated standard drug price of P214,880. Additional confiscated items included a black pouch, two disposable lighters (green and orange), a rolled aluminum foil with burn marks, and a folded aluminum foil.
The seized illegal substances have been submitted to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for laboratory analysis. Meanwhile, a formal complaint for violations of Sections 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) is being prepared against the suspect for submission to the Taguig City Prosecutor’s Office.
