Charges of syndicated estafa and violations of the Securities Regulation Code against actress and businesswoman Neri Naig-Miranda have been dismissed by courts in Pasay City, according to a statement released by her legal counsel.
The statement, posted on Instagram by her husband, Chito Miranda, cited orders from Pasay City Regional Trial Court branches 111 and 112.
Regional Trial Court Branch 112 dismissed the syndicated estafa case, stating in a 12 February order that “the private complainants never alleged being defrauded by Miranda... More mind-boggling is that private complainants never asserted having personally transacted with or handed over money to Miranda.”
