Tesla’s best-selling Model Y has arrived in its latest form, making its debut in the Philippines. Known for its top-tier safety ratings and global popularity, the new version brings fresh design elements, improved performance, and a futuristic aesthetic inspired by Tesla’s most cutting-edge vehicles.

You can get up close with the New Model Y at EDSA Shangri-La Plaza from 26 February to 9 March 2025.

To mark its launch, this special edition Model Y comes with a few exclusive details. A custom launch badge at the rear, a puddle light badge, and a “Launch Series” wordmark on the doorsill plate make every entry into the vehicle feel like an event. Inside, the center charging console has a sleek silver-accented design, while the all-black vegan suede interior gives the cabin a premium touch.

Tesla has taken design inspiration from the Cybertruck and Cybercab, bringing in a new cross-car lightbar at the front and an innovative reflective body panel taillight at the rear. These elements not only give the Model Y a futuristic look but also reinforce its position as one of the most forward-thinking vehicles on the road. A new “Glacier Blue” paint option — designed to stand out while being inspired by nature — adds another layer of personality to the mix.

Beyond aesthetics, the New Model Y focuses on making the ride more comfortable and efficient. The cabin is noticeably quieter, thanks to double-layer glass windows, while the panoramic glass roof now blocks heat and UV rays seven times better than before. New wheels and a redesigned rear diffuser help optimize airflow, improving stability and efficiency, particularly at higher speeds.

Some familiar Tesla features from the Model 3 have made their way into the Model Y, including ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen display for rear passengers. The Long Range variant comes with an upgraded 15-speaker system with a subwoofer, while the Rear-Wheel Drive version features a 9-speaker setup. Storage space is also generous, with the ability to fold down the rear seats at the press of a button, creating up to 2,130 liters of cargo room.

Efficiency remains a key focus, with Tesla refining the Model Y’s aerodynamics to maximize range. Charging is also more convenient than ever — just 15 minutes at a V4 Supercharger can give you up to 266 km of range. The first V4 Supercharging Station is already up and running at Uptown Mall, with more locations, including Shangri-La Plaza EDSA, set to open soon.

For those eager to take the new Model Y for a spin, test drive sign-ups and updates are available at Tesla’s official website.

The New Model Y comes in two variants: the Rear-Wheel Drive model starts at P2,369,000, while the Long Range version is priced from P2,689,000. The exclusive Launch Series is available for a limited time, and orders can be placed directly through Tesla’s website.
