Singapore-based intelligent computing provider, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., has recently unveiled the next wave of AI-powered personal computers (PCs), setting new benchmarks for innovation, efficiency, and performance.

During the Snapdragon X Series Southeast Asia Media Summit at the W Hotel, Sentosa, Singapore, from 24 to 25 February, Kedar Kondap, senior vice president and general manager, Compute and Gaming, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., revealed that its Snapdragon X Series is bringing AI-powered computing to everyone—combining premium performance, cutting-edge AI features, and competitive pricing.

“We are ushering in a new era where AI tasks will happen automatically and seamlessly, enhancing productivity and creativity for all users,” Kondap shared, noting that the future of computing has arrived in Southeast Asia, and it’s more powerful, intelligent, and accessible than ever before.

Qualcomm’s first-ever Snapdragon X Series Southeast Asia Media Summit has also allowed members of the media and industry insiders to have an exclusive first look at the next wave of AI-powered PCs.

A key highlight of the Summit was the Snapdragon Fireside Chat, moderated by ST Liew, vice president and president of SEATANZ, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., which brought together key industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of AI-powered PCs, market shifts, and Snapdragon’s role in shaping next-generation computing.

Speakers included Jimmy Lin, Regional Director, SEA, ASUS; Paul Carter, VP Client Solutions, JAPAC & GCR, Dell; Tarun Relhan, Head of Advanced Computing Systems, Greater Asia Region, HP Inc.; and Sachin Bhatia, CMO, Greater Asia Region, Lenovo Personal Computing & Smart Devices.

During the discussion, speakers tackled AI at the Core of the PC Revolution, where experts discussed how Snapdragon X Series is unlocking seamless AI capabilities in everyday computing, making AI-powered experiences more accessible.

The summit also discussed the rise of ARM-based laptops, in which industry leaders from ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo shared how ARM-based PCs are disrupting the market and driving innovation.

Further, the discussion also delved into the power of on-device AI, where the conversation emphasized how Snapdragon X’s NPU-powered AI processing ensures faster performance, improved security, and energy efficiency—all without relying on the cloud.

Lastly, experts also discussed consumer adoption and market potential, stressing that with ARM-based laptops projected to capture 25 percent of the market share by 2027, the panelists highlighted key strategies to accelerate user adoption in Southeast Asia.

Attendees experienced firsthand the cutting-edge capabilities of Snapdragon-powered PCs across two dedicated zones, the Creative Zone and the Beach Zone, showcasing how AI-driven technology enhances productivity, creativity, and entertainment.

“Snapdragon is setting the pace for the future of AI-powered personal computing. The Summit wasn’t just an event — it was the launchpad for a new generation of intelligent, high-performance AI PCs that are designed to redefine how we use technology,” according to Kondap.
