An estimated 1,000 residents of various barangays in Quezon City and Caloocan City gathered Wednesday as the Kaunlad Pinoy Partylist (#133) group continued its outreach in Balonbato, reaffirming its commitment to economic empowerment and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Leading the event was Kaunlad Pinoy’s first nominee, James “Kuya Choi” Napoles, who spoke about the organization’s mission to uplift Filipino entrepreneurs. He emphasized that Kaunlad Pinoy’s advocacy extends beyond politics, aiming to provide practical and lasting solutions for small business owners, informal workers, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
“The votes are not for us, but for every Filipino who wants to stand on their own feet. Ang laban na ito ay laban ng bawat Pilipinong gustong umasenso,” Napoles said, to applause from the attendees.
Napoles outlined the benefits of Kaunlad Pinoy membership, including plans to offer insurance coverage, access to lower-priced commodities, and additional support programs.
While these initiatives are still in development, he reiterated the organization’s commitment to expanding its services to ensure long-term financial stability for its members.
As part of its efforts to establish a stronger presence in Metro Manila, Kaunlad Pinoy announced its intention to open a local headquarters.
The facility will serve as a hub where members can access training, resources, and business mentorship programs. A similar initiative is being considered in Norzagaray, Bulacan, following a recent visit by the group.
