President Marcos leads landmark cash gift distribution for senior citizens

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. leads the inaugural cash gift distribution under the Expanded Centenarians Act of 2024 on 26 February 2025, at Heroes Hall, Malacañan Palace. The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) and partner agencies distributed over P2.9 billion to more than 275,000 elderly beneficiaries nationwide this year. The Expanded Centenarians Act (R.A. 11982), which President Marcos signed on 26 February 2024, grants P10,000 to seniors ages 80, 85, 90, and 95 while maintaining the P100,000 cash gift for centenarians.
