The Networks Group of Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has once again proven its dedication to delivering top-tier service, successfully retaining its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) certification. This milestone reaffirms Meralco’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized benchmark for quality management, assessing an organization’s ability to consistently meet both customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
The rigorous certification audits evaluated critical areas of Meralco’s operations, covering planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of its electric distribution system. The assessment also highlighted the company's customer service delivery, a core focus of Meralco’s mission.
The achievement was formally recognized during a ceremonial awarding at Meralco’s headquarters in Pasig City, attended by company executives and representatives from TUV SUD, the certifying body.
“This certification underscores our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. It highlights our dedication to maintaining high-quality standards, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency and sustainability,” said Froilan J. Savet, Meralco’s First Vice President and Head of Networks.
The certification was granted by TUV SUD PSB Philippines Inc., accredited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ), after a comprehensive audit process.
This latest achievement reflects Meralco’s ongoing efforts to elevate service standards and reinforce its leadership in the power distribution sector, ensuring that operational excellence remains at the heart of its service to millions of customers.
