Palau President Surangel Whipps Jr. is set to embark on an Official Visit to the Philippines from 23 to 24 February 2025.
During his two-day visit, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and President Whipps Jr. is expected to discuss expanding existing bilateral cooperation on fisheries, trade, investment, connectivity and people-to-people ties, as well as, exploring new avenues of collaboration such as on health and labor.
In addition, the two leaders will also touch on South-South cooperation, regional concerns, and common advocacies at the multilateral arena.
There are 3,000 Filipinos living and working in Palau which make up nearly 17 percent of Palau’s population.
In 2027, the Philippines and Palau will celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations.
