No threats, no Cursing: Marcos sets tone for Alyansa’s campaign
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. launched the Metro Manila leg of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas campaign, assuring that their senatorial candidates will refrain from cursing, making threats, or engaging in negative rhetoric. Speaking at the Cuneta Astrodome, Marcos emphasized that the alliance’s focus is on progress, unity, and solutions rather than divisive politics. He subtly criticized former President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial statements, including a recent remark about using a bomb to eliminate senators, which led to legal complaints against Duterte. Marcos reiterated that the administration’s candidates will promote constructive discourse and governance without resorting to intimidation. The Pasay City rally marked the fourth campaign event for the administration’s slate and the first in Metro Manila.
