Malolos City, Bulacan — The newly erected Malolos Digital Arts Center, located in front of the City Government Center, will serve as a monument to the city’s arts, culture and history.
The center’s strategic location and design showcase the rich and colorful artistry visible from any angle to motorists passing by.
According to Jose Roly Marcelino, spokesperson for the City of Malolos Arts, Culture, Tourism and Sports Office, the center will attract and inspire youth to become part of the community driving the development of arts, culture and history in Malolos and Bulacan province.
Designed by the City Architect’s Office, the center is an open-air venue suited to the country’s tropical climate.
It can be used without a roof or with a Tensile Fabric roof imported from Europe.
The floor is made of bricks with carabao grass growing beneath, adding lush greenery
The city government plans to surround the center with trees to lower the temperature and provide a cooler environment for visitors.
No permanent seating was installed to maximize space utilization. The facility has no designated exits or entrances, allowing visitors to enter from any direction.
The P95-million facility was funded by the Department of Budget and Management under the 2024 National Budget and granted to the city government.
The Department of Public Works and Highways assisted with the construction.
