
The future of Filipino cinema shines even brighter as First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos announced the official opening of the CineGang office, a dedicated space for scriptwriters, directors, actors and filmmakers to turn their visions into reality.
In a social media post on Tuesday, the First Lady expressed her deep gratitude to private partners and government agencies for making the initiative possible.
“With heartfelt gratitude to our private partners and government agencies, the CineGang office is NOW OPEN!” Mrs. Marcos proudly shared.
“We’re ready to welcome scriptwriters, directors, actors, filmmakers and every creative soul passionate about Filipino cinema. This is your space, your home, where ideas come to life and stories find their voice. The world is waiting — let’s show them the magic of Filipino storytelling!” she added.
CineGang Inc. is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to strengthening the Philippine film industry and providing local talent with international exposure.
One of its flagship projects is the Manila International Film Festival in Hollywood, which ran from 8 January to 2 February 2025, showcasing the best of Filipino cinema on one of the world’s biggest stages.
Mrs. Marcos, a staunch advocate for the creative industry, believes filmmakers deserve a global platform.
Her announcement has been met with widespread support, with many lauding the initiative as a game-changer for the industry.
