Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president and CEO Dana White has strongly condemned the anti-Semitic remarks made by UFC fighter Bryce Mitchell during a recent podcast episode. Mitchell, who hosts the podcast, sparked controversy by discussing Elon Musk’s alleged "Nazi-like" salute at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration and labeling Adolf Hitler as a "good guy," adding, "he was a guy I'd go fishing with."
In response, White said, "Hitler is one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the earth, and anyone who tries to take an opposing position is a moron."
White continued, "That’s the problem with the internet and social media — you provide a platform for a lot of d*mb, ignorant people."
White confirmed that the UFC had contacted Mitchell to express their disapproval, stating, "We’re beyond disgusted." Despite public outcry, White ruled out any disciplinary action, citing free speech protections.
"That’s what everyone wants to hear about — punishments. Free speech. I don’t have to love it, you don’t have to love it," he added. "That’s the beautiful thing about this business — for all of you who hate Bryce Mitchell, you get to see him hopefully get his a** whipped on global television."
Mitchell has reportedly apologized to the UFC for putting the organization in a difficult position but has not retracted or apologized for his remarks.
The controversy has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many fans calling for Mitchell’s removal from the UFC. One user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote, "People that shout out Hitler don’t just hate Jews. Remember that. There’s a reason why Elon’s Nazi salute offended millions and not just Jews."
As of now, the UFC has taken no further action against Mitchell.
