Lee Young Ji thanks Mark Lee for luxurious watch gift

Korean rapper Lee Young Ji took to Instagram to share her gratitude after receiving a luxurious Rolex watch from NCT’s Mark Lee. In the photos, she can be seen bowing beside him while holding the watch, a gift she described as overwhelming.

“I’ve only ever given gifts to others in my life, never had the chance to wear a Rolex myself. But Mark-nim gifted me one as a thank you for featuring on his track,” she wrote in her caption.

Based on the photos, Mark gifted her a Rolex Submariner, specifically the discontinued 16610 model, also known as the "Kermit." Another image captures the two after their Fraktsiya performance at the 2024 MBC Gayo Daejejeon.

She continued, “It was such an overwhelming gift that, even though I received it a while ago, I couldn’t bring myself to wear it. I was just keeping it to myself. From the time we filmed the music video, he kept asking if there was anything I wanted. I kept saying no, but he insisted on asking. So, just for fun, I jokingly said, ‘Buy me a sports car,’ thinking I wouldn’t actually receive anything. But in the end, he got me a watch that’s kind of on the same level. I nearly passed out from shock. He kept asking if I liked it and even told me to be honest if I didn’t. I was so overwhelmed that I just sat down and cried.”

She went on to express her deep appreciation, writing, “I told him I’d wear it until I retire, but he was like, ‘Don’t exaggerate,’ and said, ‘You’re such a kind person,’ as if he didn’t believe me. So now, I’m planning to wear this watch to my grave just to prove it to him. Mark-nim, please make sure you live longer than me. I’ll truly treasure this. Thank you so much for inviting me to be part of an amazing track and for giving me such a meaningful gift.”

Lee Young Ji was featured in Mark’s latest single, “Fraktsiya,” released on 16 December. The track serves as a pre-release for Mark's highly anticipated first solo album, set to drop in April 2025.
