As the Philippines imports 99 percent of its dairy requirements, according to the National Dairy Authority, a local ice cream brand is expanding efforts to boost milk supply production in the country.
Carmen's Best on Wednesday unveiled new milk products, including whole milk, low-fat milk, salted caramel milk, and barista fresh milk.
The launch also highlights a push for nationwide distribution, with Carmen's Best's recent acquisition of Universal Harvesters Dairy Farm Inc. in Maramag, Bukidnon.
Soon to follow is the opening of Metro Pacific Dairy Farms, a state-of-the-art dairy facility that will further boost fresh milk supply and enable the processing of more types of fresh dairy products towards the end of the year.
