Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, vice chair of the Senate Committee on Public Order, co-sponsored Senate Resolution No. 1270, which commends Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS) Ryan Mariano and Correction Officer 1 (CO1) Melvin Cabanal Magnaye of the Bureau of Corrections for their extraordinary bravery and dedication to protecting the public.
In his manifestation during the Senate plenary session, Senator Go emphasized the vital role of law enforcement officers in maintaining peace and order, which he described as the cornerstone of a stable and thriving society.
“Peace and order are the foundation of any thriving society. Without these fundamental aspects of the country, our society will be in conflict and discord,” Senator Go asserted.
On Sunday, 19 January, Go, recognized for his health reforms crusade, attended the inauguration of the Super Health Center in Moalboal, Cebu. This facility is part of the senator’s ongoing efforts to bring accessible healthcare services closer to Filipinos, especially in grassroots communities.
The Super Health Center in Moalboal is equipped to handle primary care services, medical consultations, and early detection of diseases. It aims to reduce the burden on larger hospitals by addressing healthcare needs at the community level.
The municipal health office and the local government unit, in partnership with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation through its Konsulta program, can provide free consultations and services.
