This after a certain page Facebook page, PGH-Philippine General Hospital News, which is claiming to be related to the state-run hospital posted a fabricated article about "Maria, 55" a PGH nurse who allegedly cured her liver disease at home.
"Maria" claimed that she found a "specially formulated milk that helps support liver function" while she was researching for information about her disease.
The milk is sold at P1,600 for a can, P3,200 for three cans, P4,800 for five cans, and 9,400 for 10 cans.
The state-run institution, meanwhile, reiterated that it does not endorse any medicine or medical equipment.
"Our services are focused solely on providing medical attention that can be accessed through telemedicine and on-site consultations," PGH said in an advisory.
"Everyone is reminded that other Facebook or social media accounts that identify themselves as representatives of PGH are fake and not connected to us," it added.
