DAVAO CITY — Around 500 swimmers are expected to join the 2025 Oceanman Open Swim Series at the General Luna Boulevard shores in Siargao from 4 to 6 April.
Organizer Jose Ronaldo Bate Vivar said more than 400 swimmers have already registered in the prestigious tourney that will feature 5K and 10K events.
“For now, we already have 418 entries but we expect to garner more as the competition gets near,” Vivar said during the Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum here.
Aside from the 5K and 10K events, the three-day endurance tourney that is sanctioned by the Philippine Aquatics Association will also feature sprints and age-group classifications with the winners bringing home trophies and medals.
“It will be open to swimmers of all ages and expect foreigners to join,” Vivar said.
“It will be a good avenue for young swimmers to test their skills in preparation for national and international competitions.”
