Actress Angel Locsin has officially regained control of her X (formerly Twitter) account following a hacking incident.
On Wednesday, Locsin shared her gratitude to followers for their support during the ordeal.
“Hello everyone, long time no chat. I just wanna say I have recovered my X account (totoo na to, pramis). Thank you sa mga tumulong and @X for helping. I miss you all and ingat lagi,” she posted.
In a follow-up tweet, Locsin tagged her husband Neil Arce to confirm the recovery, writing, “Mahal ko, paki confirm.”
Arce responded, “Account recovered,” confirming the account was back in Locsin’s hands.
The hacking incident began on Tuesday, prompting Locsin’s official Facebook page to warn followers about suspicious activity on her X account, @143redangel.
“A series of reposts was made by Angel Locsin’s X account @143redangel yesterday. This was not Angel,” her admin stated, advising the public not to engage with links shared by the compromised account.
Despite the warning, the hacker continued posting unauthorized updates, including a false claim of recovery: “Got my acc back! Thank you for massive sharing! Love.”
Arce later clarified via Instagram that Locsin had not yet regained access, sharing a screenshot of the fake post. “Account not yet recovered. We will be the one to inform everyone if we got it back already,” he wrote.
Locsin’s X account, created in 2009, has 12.3 million followers. The actress had been inactive on the platform since her last post in August 2022.
