Under the glimmering lights of Las Vegas, LG Electronics transported its audience into a future shaped by innovation and empathy at the LG World Premiere event, held on the eve of CES 2025.
With the theme “Life’s Good 24/7 with Affectionate Intelligence,” LG painted a vision where technology doesn’t just perform — it understands, anticipates, and enriches the human experience.
The event, which drew over 1,000 attendees and countless online viewers, unfolded like a grand show of possibilities, showcasing how LG’s AI technologies could transform the everyday into the extraordinary.
The stage was divided into vignettes representing home, mobility, and commercial spaces, with each scene offering a glimpse of how LG’s Affectionate Intelligence creates a seamless harmony between humans and machines.
“Our vision is simple but profound,” said LG CEO William Cho. “We see spaces not as mere backdrops to our lives but as dynamic environments where devices and services coalesce to create meaningful experiences. This is where our Affectionate Intelligence shines, elevating the mundane to the magical.”
The heart of the innovation lies in three pillars: connected devices, advanced AI agents, and integrated services. LG’s vast ecosystem of smart devices — already in millions of homes worldwide — forms the backbone of this vision. With LG FURON, an AI agent that combines generative AI with real-time sensing, the company introduces a digital companion capable of interpreting human needs with uncanny precision.
A partnership with Microsoft further amplifies this ambition. “Together, we’re weaving a tapestry where technology becomes an extension of ourselves,” said Judson Althoff, Microsoft’s executive vice president. This collaboration aims to reimagine AI for spaces ranging from cozy homes to sprawling data centers, blending efficiency with empathy.
The evening reached its crescendo with a theatrical demonstration of LG’s vision: a family’s day, where every moment — be it a coughing child prompting an adjusted room temperature or a forgotten coffee tumbler inspiring a quick café detour — was touched by the gentle hand of thoughtful AI.
