Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced on Wednesday that the airline is expanding its Cebu network hub by adding a new Cebu-Catarman route and increasing the frequency of its Cebu-Siargao flights.
PAL is pioneering a three-weekly service beginning 1 March to link Cebu with Catarman City, the capital of Northern Samar and one of the most significant commercial and educational centers in Eastern Visayas.
Additionally, from 1 March, PAL will be expanding the number of its well-liked Cebu-Siargao flights by adding Wednesday and Sunday midmorning flights, for a total of 18 weekly flights between Cebu and Siargao Island, the Philippines’ surfing capital and the location of immaculate beaches, white sand islets and secret lagoons.
“With this new connection from Cebu, Philippine Airlines is pleased to expand its services to Catarman. Residents and visitors from Samar will now have easier access to Cebu, and Cebuanos will have more possibilities to visit Northern Samar thanks to the new route. We are committed to improving inter-island connectivity, which will increase tourism and stimulate business, and the new Cebu hub services to Catarman and Siargao are part of that commitment,” PAL Express president Rabbi Ang stated.
