Hudson Joseph Meek, known for his role in the 2017 film Baby Driver, has tragically passed away at the age of 16.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office and local media, Meek died on 21 December after sustaining injuries in a fall from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills, Alabama.
A statement on his Instagram account shared the devastating news: "Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met."
J Pervis Talent Agency, which represented Meek, paid tribute to the young actor, describing him as an inspiration whose vibrant personality and talent left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
A celebration of Hudson's life will be held on 28 December at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama. To honor his memory, the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship has been established, supporting students from Vestavia Hills High School annually.
Meek portrayed young Miles in Baby Driver and appeared in projects such as The Santa Con, Genius, and The School Duel.
