Team Spirit head coach Vrendon "Vren" Pesebre is convinced that teams around the world are quickly catching up with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang powerhouses Philippines and Indonesia.
Vren, a key member of the then AP Bren when they won the M5 World Championship, ended his M6 run with Kid Bomba, ONESHOT, Sunset Lover, Hiko, and Sawo in the top four after losing to Selangor Red Giants in the lower bracket semifinal.
Though they fell short in the grandest stage of competitive Mobile Legends, Team Spirit was nevertheless touted as the dark horse of the tournament as they showed tremendous gameplay throughout the event.
"[International teams] can win, the only thing lacking is exposure to international tournaments," Vren told DAILY TRIBUNE.
"If we recall, my team came from the lower bracket in Russia which means other teams are strong too."
For Vren, Team Spirit's M6 performance proves that the rest of the world is starting to get good at the popular mobile MOBA. Should the rest of the world get more playing time in tournaments, the Filipino coach says experience would help overcome stage fright.
"When it comes to the world stage they get nervous especially when they get deep into competition against known opponents."
