The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Wednesday announced it has took home the “Election Commission of the Year” at the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS) at the 2025 International Electoral Awards Ceremony and Symposium held on Tuesday in Dominican Republic.
In addition to copping the most coveted award of the night, the poll body took home three more distinguished awards: Electoral Ergonomy Award, Electoral Conflict Management Award, and International Institutional Engagement Award.
“These distinguished awards serve as a testament to the hard work and dedication of all officials and employees of the Commission on Elections, from the Main Office to the Field Offices in every region, province, city and municipality, serving as a beacon of inspiration to go above and beyond the call of duty in order to render exceptional public service,” the Comelec said.
“The Commission on Elections most humbly offers these awards to the Filipino people and reiterates its steadfast commitment to safeguarding democracy and electoral integrity through the conduct of safe, honest, secure and peaceful elections,” it added.
The ICPS exists to promote effective policy making and good governance through better interaction between Parliaments.
