BTS’ Jin is ready to bless us with his vocals again — this time for a space-themed K-drama that’s giving major 2025 energy.
Reports are in that BTS’ oldest hyung has recorded the main OST for When the Stars Gossip, a space romance series premiering worldwide on 4 January.
In case you missed it, When the Stars Gossip (formerly called Ask the Stars) marks Jin’s second solo OST and third overall, proving that producers just can’t get enough of his vocals. For context, Jin dropped “Yours” in 2021 for the suspense-filled drama Jirisan, starring Jun Ji Hyun and Ju Ji Hoon. Before that, he teamed up with fellow BTS member V for “It’s Definitely You,” the OST for V’s acting debut in the iconic sageuk Hwarang.
This time around, the K-drama is already making waves, not just for its stellar lineup — Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin are teaming up for the first time — but also for its jaw-dropping budget of 50 billion KRW (that’s about $40.7 million USD).
Here’s the tea: Lee Min Ho plays Gong Ryong, an OB-GYN (yeah, we said space tourist doctor vibes) with a secret mission. He meets Eve Kim, played by Gong Hyo Jin, a perfectionist Korean-American astronaut on her first big mission as a commander. Supporting roles are just as stacked, featuring Oh Jung Se as a fruit fly scientist (yes, really), Kim Joo Hun as a seasoned astronaut, and Han Ji Eun as Choi Go Eun, a CEO and Gong Ryong’s fiancé.
Jin’s OST is expected to drop early 2025, and ARMYs are already buzzing about what could follow the success of his solo debut album, The Astronaut. Get ready to hit repeat, because if there’s one thing Jin’s gonna do — it’s deliver vocals that hit harder than gravity.
