Tutok To Win Partylist Representative and Manila mayoral candidate Sam Verzosa has been honored with the prestigious Gusi Peace Prize International Award for his decade-long dedication to philanthropy and humanitarian service.
The award ceremony was held on 27 November at the Manila Metropolitan Theater. Verzosa, the youngest Filipino to receive the distinguished honor, was recognized for his unwavering commitment to promoting peace and human rights.
During his acceptance speech, Verzosa emphasized the importance of helping others, stating, “I hope that this award will inspire others to help the less fortunate, to be part of their growth.”
Since 2009, Verzosa has spearheaded several initiatives to assist marginalized communities.
In his speech, he expressed pride in representing the Philippines on the global stage, adding, “We are all blessed with different gifts. Let us use these gifts to help others and change people’s lives. Let us fulfill our purpose in this world. As I always say, the true purpose of wealth is to help and love others, and that is what real success looks like.”
