Business owners in Quezon City will experience streamlined permit processing and reduced repetitive data entry as the city becomes the first local government to integrate its online business permit platform with the Bureau of Fire Protection’s (BFP) digital inspection system.

The initiative connects the Quezon City Online Business Permit Application System with the bureau’s Fire Safety Inspection System through secure data sharing.

Using a Mayor’s Permit number, the fire bureau can automatically retrieve relevant information — such as business name, address, and floor area — directly from the city’s system.

City officials said the integration reduces administrative errors, cuts processing times, and improves coordination between municipal regulators and fire safety inspectors.

“With this collaboration, we are bringing our ease of doing business system another notch higher,” said the local government’s statement.

“We are fixing the missing link in the business registration system and fire safety inspection certificate application, which will translate to better fire protection and safety services,” it added.

Under the new system, effective 15 October 2026, the Fire Safety Inspection Certificate fee is paid directly to the BFP through its system rather than through the municipal tax bill.

The fire bureau will issue its own electronic order of payment and official receipt to ensure clearer transaction tracking.

The digital link supports Republic Act 11032, also known as the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018. The system will also help monitor fee collections and calculate the city’s mandated 20 percent share, which is legally designated for the construction, repair, and maintenance of local fire stations.

Full implementation of the integrated platform across all business permit applications is scheduled for completion by the end of the fourth quarter of 2026.
