In an unprecedented unity and camaraderie in the delivery service industry, Angkas CEO and known advocate for rider welfare, George Royeca, announced the participation of Angkas in this year’s foodpanda PAUtastic event.
The partnership marks a significant occasion where competitors come together for a common cause — to celebrate and uplift the spirits of their hardworking riders.
With the theme “Ride Together, Thrive Together,” the event will feature activities, and rewards designed specifically for the delivery riders, who are the backbone of the increasingly vital service industry.
Angkas, known for its pioneering efforts in professionalizing and providing social security benefits for its bikers, brings to the event a wealth of experience and a shared ethos of putting their riders first.
“We are more than happy to participate in this year’s Foodpanda PAUtastic event,” George Royeca, CEO of Angkas, said.
Pivotal riders’ moment
“This is a pivotal moment for us in the industry to focus on what truly matters — supporting our riders and acknowledging their hard work and dedication. We see this partnership with Foodpanda as a step towards a more unified front in ensuring the welfare and rights of all our riders.”
The event drew thousands of foodpanda bikers, all coming together to participate in a series of competitions, and social gatherings designed to foster a sense of community and mutual respect among the riders.
Highlights of the event include fun competitive games, with plenty of prizes and giveaways to be won.
“The strength of our service lies in the hands of our riders,” Royeca emphasized. “By coming together in events like these, we not only celebrate their contributions but also reinforce the message that we are all in this together — stronger, and more resilient.”
The Foodpanda PAUtastic event promises to be a landmark occasion in the industry, setting a precedent for collaboration over competition.
