A 32-year-old barangay tanod died after being shot nine times by a member of the dreaded “Sputnik Gang” during a drinking session early Friday morning at the corner of Kagitingan Street and Pitimini Street, Barangay 43, Tondo, Manila.
According to P/Capt. Dennis Turla, chief of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section, the victim, identified as Jonathan Riso, alias “Diablo,” a barangay tanod of 1117 Esmeralda Street, Tondo, Manila, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body.
