Fisher Mall in Quezon Avenue had its officials, together with Quezon City public servants and Bahay Aruga beneficiaries, wrapped up their annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on 28 November at the mall’s Activity Center.
Through an advocacy-driven Christmas activity as the season of giving approaches, Robert Raymond del Rosario, president of Fisher Mall, discussed the importance of the event to officially launch their community-driven campaign, “Fisher for Joy.”
Through this initiative, Fisher Mall partnered with Bahay Aruga, Inc., a non-government organization (NGO) providing temporary shelter and assistance to children battling cancer.
Del Rosario said shoppers can take part in the initiative as Fisher Mall is donating a portion of the Fisher Elite card sales until 31 December to the campaign.
“We want to strengthen the sense of community; that’s why we’re allowing our shoppers to also have a chance to help our beneficiaries,” Del Rosario explained.
The launch was graced by QC Representative Arjo Atayde (District 1), who participated in the gift-giving ceremony to the beneficiaries, as well as District Action Officer Ollie Belmonte, QC chief tourism officials, Ma. Victoria Auto and Vince Buenaventura.
“We’ve chosen to partner with Bahay Aruga, Inc. since last year because of their commitment to help children and their families during their hardest times. With the success of our collaboration, we aspired to carry on our joint community service through our Fishing for Joy campaign this 2024,” Del Rosario said.
He reiterated that their “Fisher for Joy” campaign is a testament of their commitment to bring the community together and participate in on-ground, meaningful activities.

Other prominent guests included Liza Macuja and Don Fred Elizalde who provided a number of ballerinas from the Ballet Manila.
