Angeles City, Pampanga — Senator Imee Marcos has recently led the inauguration of the P400-million Pampang Public Market here.
Mayor Carmelo Lazatin welcomed the arrival of the senator, citing that Marcos has been a steadfast partner in Angeles City’s progress.
The two officially opened the 30,685-square-meter state-of-the-art facility that will serve as a milestone in the city’s commitment to supporting the livelihood of local vendors which is also seen to provide residents with a safe, convenient and accessible marketplace.
Lazatin said that the three-story market features a 2,682-square-meter dry goods section on the ground floor, alongside a spacious food court, while the second and third floors house steel parking facilities with 251 slots and a dedicated elevator, ensuring accessibility for both vendors and patrons.
A separate wing, with 50 stalls, caters to carinderias, transforming the market into a commercial hub.
“This new Pampang Public Market is not just a building; it’s a symbol of our dedication to uplifting our local vendors and ensuring that Angeles City remains a hub of trade and commerce,” Lazatin said.
