Fnatic ONIC PH played the most basic and arguably the squishiest hero in Mobile Legends to beat BloodThirstyKings en route to securing a slot in the Knockout Stage of the M6 World Championship in Kuala Lumpur.
Fnatic ONIC PH's gold laner Duane "Kelra" Pillas played Layla in the opening stanza, where he scored a 5/0/4 KDA and was named MVP. BTK evened the score, but the Filipinos emerged ultimately victorious following a dominant performance in Game 3.
"There were definitely a lot of conditions attached to it," answered Fnatic ONIC PH coach Anthony "YnoT" Senedrin when asked about the Layla pick.
"But the range and the Malefic Gun, I think, were an advantage that Layla has over Bruno. And it was Kelra using the hero, so it was a good choice."
Now a step closer to its world championship dream and the lion's share of the $1,000,000 prize pool, Fnatic ONIC PH joins RRQ Hashi in awaiting the other six teams that will make it to the next stage of the tournament.
