Senatorial candidate Luis "Chavit" Singson discussed the important role of radio in shaping public awareness while addressing RMN Networks' nationwide managers during the company’s 72nd-anniversary celebration at the Golden Phoenix Hotel in Pasay on Wednesday.
Singson took the chance to present his vision for the country, recognizing radio’s key role in informing and engaging communities.
“In the media, the most important is the radio station,” he said, acknowledging the medium’s wide reach and influence across the Philippines.
The former governor of Ilocos Sur expressed concern over the low public awareness of his senatorial bid.
“Awareness is the most important, and yet many people do not know that I am running for senator,” he remarked.
He called on RMN’s network of managers to help amplify his message and connect with Filipinos nationwide.
The event, attended by RMN executives and station managers from across the country, also gave Singson a chance to outline his goals as a potential senator, including strengthening media networks and promoting regional development.
